In Honor Of The Release Of “Breaking Dawn, Part I”

Kristen's actually a good actress (see The Runaways), this is just funny.

Tonight, I planned to go to the midnight showing of the new Twilight film. Obviously, I didn’t. I got caught up in a film shoot (for a film that I can confidently say is better than Twilight in almost every aspect). Not for entertainment in the traditional sense, mind you, but as a member of the group of friends who were going to OCCUPY TWILIGHT. (I might have been a member of the 1% who understands what a good story is.)

However, I will remark on how good the Twilight soundtracks have been (sans the Bruno Mars single, what the fuck is that doing there?). The trademark song from the first film was Muse‘s “Supermassive Black Hole”, the second’s was Death Cab‘s “Meet Me On The Equinox”, and now Christina Perri‘s “A Thousand Years” takes centerstage on the well-assembled (by the fantastic Alexandra Patsavas, partially responsible for breaking Death Cab to mainstream audiences on The O.C.) soundtrack.

I like Christina Perri a LOT. Great piano skills, fantastic songwriting, catchy arrangements and raw, powerful vocals. How can it go wrong?

It doesn’t often, and here she’s in top form. Check out the download, left-click:
